# Goat Leads

> Common issues and fixes for Goat Leads

## Leads coming in but not getting texted

If a lead shows up in your CRM but never receives a text, the most common cause is a **missing niche tag** on your lead order in Goat Leads.

Each lead order needs the correct tag selected so the system knows which workflow to enroll them in. Without it, the lead enters your CRM but doesn't get picked up by any automation, so no texts go out.

See [Tag Reference](/reference/tags) for the full list of niche tags.

**How to fix it:**

1. Log into your Goat Leads account

2. Open the affected lead order

3. Make sure the correct niche tag is selected and highlighted (it should appear highlighted in red when active)

4. Save the order

Any new leads that come in after saving will be tagged correctly and enrolled automatically.

<Note>
  Real-time leads should always be texted instantly (between 8 AM – 8:30 PM in the lead's timezone). If a real-time lead comes in and nothing happens, check the tag on the order first.
</Note>

## Manually Adding a Contact to the Workflow

If a contact is already in your CRM but never got texted, you can enroll them manually:

1. Open the contact in your CRM
2. Make sure they have the correct niche tag in the Contact Details panel (see [Tag Reference](/reference/tags))
3. In the Contact Details panel, click **Actions**, then select **Workflows**
4. Find and select **New Contact Create (Set Timezone) -> \[lead niche]**

<Warning>
  Make sure the contact has the correct niche tag before adding them to the workflow. The wrong tag will enroll them in the wrong messaging sequence.
</Warning>
